Who We Are

Our Head Brewer and Distiller, Will Cody Whipple, was born and raised in Northern Nevada. Will attended the University of Nevada Reno and graduated in 2007 with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering with an emphasis in materials science and engineering. Will has over ten years’ experience working with polymers, nano-materials, solvents, chemicals, fuels and advanced lithium ion batteries. While working with these components Will has been involved in the design, process engineering, equipment design, procurement, fabrication and operation of solvent extraction, vacuum distillation, refining and hydro-processing equipment for large and small industrial facilities. Will has over 7 years’ experience in the brewing and distilling art that has always been his passion. He is the lead engineer and designer of the brewery and distillery incorporating some of the following features into the brewery and distillery.

Co-Head Brewer and Distiller, Melissa Test, was born and raided in Reno, Nevada. Melissa attended the University of Nevada, Reno and graduated with a B.S. in Biology with an emphasis in cellular and molecular biology and a B.A. in Photography as well. She worked at TMCC teaching cellular and microbiology before she left to pursue her passion of brewing and distilling full time.

Melissa has over a decade of home brewing experience, first learning from a class at Reno Homebrewer Store before honing her skills further. She is a recognized beer judge by the BJCP program.
